Hello, I’m Dr Lars — a Practitioner Psychologist (HCPC, Reg. PYL044488), Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS, Reg. 445715), experienced Psychotherapist (BACP, Reg. 390723), and licensed Psychologist in Greece (Reg. 598159/3532). I am also a certified Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) Practitioner. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, informed by over a decade of clinical experience across the NHS, national specialist services, and private practice in the UK, Greece, and the Netherlands.
In my NHS roles, I work across the full care pathway—from acute inpatient and psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs) to community and secondary care services. This provides me with a deep understanding of how psychological needs evolve from psychiatric crisis to longer-term recovery. My clinical expertise includes anxiety disorders, complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, and personality disorders.
While I specialise in adult mental health, I also have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, older adults, and individuals with neurodevelopmental or neurodegenerative conditions, gained through both NHS specialist pathways and private sector work. I am committed to adapting psychological interventions to each person’s developmental stage, identity, and unique context.
Alongside my NHS work, I have supported professionals through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) for organisations such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Wayfair—helping clients manage stress, build resilience, and enhance wellbeing in high-performance environments.
My therapeutic style is integrative and collaborative, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), and Psychosexual Therapy. I tailor each session to your needs, goals, and preferred ways of working. Whether you are navigating low mood, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or questions of identity and self-worth, I offer a reflective, compassionate, and confidential space.
I know that starting therapy can be a daunting step, especially during periods of change, uncertainty, or distress. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where your voice is heard and your story respected, regardless of age, background, neurodiversity, gender, culture, or orientation.
If you are curious about working together, feel free to reach out for an informal conversation—either in English or Greek. I would be honoured to support you on your therapeutic journey.
